A purported Facebook post claiming that Russia has a nuclear missile capable of destroying the world has been fabricated.
The post with unverified sources has been flying around social media.
The post stated that Russia would unleash the weapon should in case the USA, NATO and Western Countries interfere in the Ukraine-Russia crisis.
The claim which has been shared across various social media platforms, including Facebook, WhatsApp, and Twitter, among others, is not only capable of causing World War but also could cause disunity among other top countries.
The purported post read:
“BREAKING NEWS!
“Russia unveil a nuclear weapon called “Satan 2 liquid fueled nuclear missile” capable of destroying everything breathing in the world. Should in case USA, NATO and Western world interferes.
“Peace to the whole world.”
However, according to a verified news report published by News.com.au on October 29, 2016 – 9:48 am, which has the headline “From super nukes to sniper guns: The world’s deadliest weapons” has confirmed that Russia unveiled the RS-28 Sarmat thermonuclear-armed ballistic missile system but the report didn’t state specifically that it is capable of destroying the whole world.
The report was quoted:
“Russia this week has released the first image of its new nuclear missile, a weapon so powerful that it could wipe out entire countries.
“The RS-28 Sarmat thermonuclear-armed ballistic missile was commissioned in 2011 and is expected to come into service in 2018.
