Fact Check: Federal Secretariat Ilorin NOT accepting CVs for teaching job

A recent post circulating on a WhatsApp group claims that the Federal Government is currently accepting Curriculums Vitae (CVs) for federal teaching appointments.

The WhatsApp post added that CVs should be submitted to Room 342 at the Federal Secretariat in Ilorin, Kwara State.

The post retrieved from a WhatsApp group on January 13, 2024, reads as follows:

“Federal Teaching Appointment visit the Federal Secretariat Ilorin Room 342. NCE or B.Ed, 4 Passport, 1 Passport of Guarantor with full information. Submit CV at Federal Secretariat Ilorin Room 342.”

CLAIM

Federal Secretariat Ilorin is receiving Curriculum Vitae from intending job seekers into the federal teaching service.

The Findings

Findings by Factcheck247 show that the claim is FALSE.

When Factcheck247 visited Room 342 at the Federal Secretariat, Ilorin to make enquiry on the claim, the Resident Land Officer at the Federal Secretariat, Mr. Bikus Joseph, described the information as false.

“That is untrue. This is Room 342 but there is no recruitment going on. No office is accepting CV inside this Federal Secretariat. Alot of people come here everyday for this purpose, but unfortunately, we turn them back,” he said.

The officer said the information should be disregarded.
